Multiples

Does anyone know what this is?

So, for the past several weeks, I get this occasional pain..its like menstrual cramps except it doesn't come and go like cramps..its more consistent.Usually emptying my bladder helps make it go away.

Last night I got a pain strong enough to wake me up. It was only my right side, about where my ovary is I think.  It was a sharp consistent pain, so I don't think it was a contraction OR a RLP but am I wrong? Anyone know what this could be and if should be concerned?  It was gone when I woke up this morning.

Re: Does anyone know what this is?

  • that sounds like it could be RLP but it could also be contractions. does your stomach get hard when it happens? if so then probably contractions.
  • No, I don't think so? I don't think I have had any stomach tightening yet..only when the babies roll over and I get that distinctive "bulging" feeling.

I had though RLP also, but isn't that supposed to be fleeting as well?

  • you are still growing and stretching at a faster pace than a singleton so I am guessing no on the fleeting of the RLP. my solution for you is to just sit on the toilet all day and pee. lol.
  • Ha. What makes you think I'm not practically doing that already? LOL.

  • I was feeling the bulging feeling, I thought it was baby boy pushing against the top of my stomach really hard.  When I was in the hospital being monitored it happend and it turns out that it was actually a contraction.  The nurse said it is very common for pg woman to think it's the baby pushing against them and it is really a contraction.
