They tried to induce my sister last Wednesday night/Thursday morning, and after a night of Cervidil and 3 hours of Pitocin, they sent her home. ?She is back there now with Cervidil and will start Pitocin at 7AM. ?The doctor told her that if it doesn't work, they will start to talk about a c-section. ?She is 2 weeks late as of tomorrow.
Did anyone have a failed induction, and if so what happened after?
Thanks.?
Re: Failed induction???
I guess she wasn't progressing at all (15 hours of Cervidil and 3 hours of Pitocin), so they considered it a "failure" and sent her home. ?
I agree with you, sarahjared, I wouldn't let them touch me unless they could guarantee that I was having that baby one way or another. ??
I went in for cervidil on a Sunday evening with NO progress whats so ever. I was dilated to a 1 by 6 the next morning and they started the pit. After that, nothing, really. At 8:30 they broke my water and that's when all hell broke loose. The contrax started almost immediately and I was dilated to an 9 by 11:30 am.
I wonder why they won't break her water with all the intervention they're already attempting?
I ended up with a section in the end because of fetal distress.
Thanks, ladies. ?
I was wondering about them breaking her water, too. ?I feel so bad--she is miserable and just wants to meet her baby! ?Hopefully tomorrow is the day.?
