I had 2 crib sheets and it was enough, but I might get 3 with #2 just in case. I also had a couple lap pads that I put down underneath the baby to protect the sheet.
I had 2 PNP sheets and 3 crib sheets - 2 of each would be fine. Only reason I can see for extra crib sheets is to save some for when the baby is older and you are using the crib mattress as a toddler mattress and still want the same look.
I have 2 pnp sheets and 3 crib sheets. I have heard you can never have too many, so I think I may buy a couple more of each just to have on hand in case of a series of blowouts.

Carson Henry, born 39w, 2d, via emergency c/s due to no fetal movement and fetal distress. Seizures, IVH grade 2, brain injury, kidney and liver damage.
