I rather fly even if I'm not pg. I hate long car rides!

I'M GRAPE JELLY- ALWAYS AROUND & ALWAYS THE SAME
If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me. For I must be traveling on now. Because there are too many places I've got to see. -Allen Collins & Ronnie VanZant
My favorite verse!
I think the car ride. Only because at first thought-we could stop as needed and we wouldn't be trapped 30000 feet in the air. I'm just thinking that smells and stuff make me nauseaus and being trapped for 4 1/2 hours might not be a good thing. At least in the car, we could stop-it would be us and DS could scream and not bother anyone but us. Maybe I'm not thinking of something, but that's what I think I'd do.
We drove from KS to ND and back (14 hours each way) when I was about 22 weeks and then moved when I was 26 weeks. At 26 weeks, I drove the whole way alone in a vehicle with my 23 mo old. I got good at changing DVD's while driving.
it's close to a toss-up. if the flight is 4.5 hours, you'll need to driev to the airport and be there at least 1.5 hours early....which could bring the travel time close to 8 hours depending on where you live.
we took DS on a 10 hour car ride at 1 year and it was actually kind of fun. we stopped often and when he slept we listened to a book on CD. We looked at the drive as family time so we just didn't rush to get to our destination. Money was another consideration for us - flights were pretty pricy and we would have had to rent a car/crib etc. Do you have a portable DVD player?
