baby log

Does anyone have a log they used to track babies eating/changing/sleeping?  I haven't been able to find one and thought I could make one on excell, but don't really know what would be useful?

Re: baby log

  • I had one that I used for Nathan and Morgan... I just bought a sprial bound graph paper notebook at Walmart for like 94 cents and then divided the page in half. Half of a page was for Nathan and the other half was for Morgan. I made a column for Date, Time, Diaper (Wet or BM), and Amount Taken. It was very helpful especially in the middle of the night when DH would get up without me and we could read the last time they ate etc. We would also highlight the time a child got their meds like iron or tylenol so we would know. I found it to be easier that way than to spend the money or print out a bunch of pages. :)

  • we tried a few, but what worked best for us was a plain steno pad.  Steno pads are small lined notebooks that have a vertical line dividing the page.  We put the date on top, a twin name on each side, and write in her column whatever activity and the time it took place.  It's simple, veratile enough that we've used it from when they were newborns until now at 14 months (our nanny keeps that log for us of what they do during the day when she is watching them).
