We're starting our registry and really like this system. Your thoughts or experiences are appreciated! We're thinking the Discovery series b/c we could re-use it for another baby (gender neutral colors).
We have it in the Discovery (green and grey, right?) and really like it. DS will be two in January and we've used it since he was born and will be using the infant seat again when #2 is born in December.
The only thing I would caution you about with this system is that if you're planning on having two kids close together (I know -- hard to think about when you're still pregnant with the one), the Chicco seats aren't compatible but with a handfull of double strollers and the options aren't very good. They eventually plan on coming out with a Chicco tandem double, but who knows when that will be. Just something to keep in mind. If that's not of concern, I'd highly, highly recommend the system.
I have one and I love it. The carseat can be kind of heavy when using it tote around an infant, but the stroller is awesome. I love that it will stand up on its own when you fold it up. It's bulkier than a Snap and Go, but I don't take it in too many tights places, so that doesn't matter for us.
We love ours (it is the brown with orange). My DS is over two and we still use the stroller. It is easy to open and close (one handed). It does take a lot of room in the back of the SUV though. We have a small SUV.
We have it and have liked it. We rarely use the stroller anymore now that DD is almost 2. My only complaint is the size of the stroller. It's still pretty big when folded so it may not fit in car trunks - we have suvs so it worked fine for us.
I have one and I like it too. DS will be 2 in January, and I still occasionally use the stroller....or I'll at least take it with me in case he decides he doesn't want to walk! The only complain I had was that the carseat didn't fit in the front of the shopping cart, so I had to put it in the basket part, and then I couldn't fit any groceries. Although it's actually good, b/c they designed that for safety reasons...so I guess I shouldn't have complained!
Having 2, I still use the infant car seat. I love it. I DO find it to be a bit heavy. So, I don't take it out of the car and walk around with it. But, I think having a good weight to it is a benefit in something like a car seat. It comes with different infant inserts, so nothing special to buy in that area. Very sturdy and safe. But, yeah, heavy.
The stroller is great and I still use it sometimes if I only have 1 kid with me. Mostly, it's at my parents' house because they love to take my older DD for sleepovers and walks.
I thought it folded up decent, but I have an SUV with lots of room in the back.
My garage is a flight of stairs down, so I don't carry it into the house. I leave it in the car. Again....it's heavy. I also didn't use it much as a snap in to the Cortina. Once they hit about 6mo, I like to use the stroller and give them a break from being confined in the car seat and have some sitting up experience. Unless it's a fast trip somewhere, then I snap it in.
I really like it and plan to use it alone with my P&T (my double). Very sturdy. Easy to maneuver with 1 hand.
I really like it. I love my P&T double, but I do love when I just take one kid at a time out and use the Cortina.
Oh, I got it in that green and silver color and found a JJ Cole diaper bag that matches it perfectly!
