Couples gift - need help

My Mom said she would really prefer to get my brother and SIL a joint Christmas present but she has no ideas - and she asked SIL for a list and has not gotten one.  $75-100.  What would be on your wish list and what would you get someone else if you did not know what they would really want?  They have 2 girls 9 and 7 but it really is for the parents.

  • Nowhere close to that price range, but I'm doing boardgames this year for everyone....couples get one and siblings get another.

  • Something for their house?  Maybe a gc for a yummy restaurant and your mom can babysit?  Hmmmm.  Not sure.
  • We have gotten bed sheets, dinner & movie gift cards, wine basket....

  • oh yeah!  Sheets, maybe some new towels?  I'd really like to get new pillows for all bedrooms, but I am prob just weird.
  • How about a board game and a gc to a favorite restaurant.  Sorry, but my mind is stuck on games this year.  lol
  • It won't cost that much, but I am doing a movie night in a bowl for SIL's family. A big popcorn bowl with a couple of movies, movie type candy, microwave popcorn and maybe a fun fleece throw.

  • I was about to type what Kat "said."  Maybe do Dinner(s) and Movie(s) with one bucket popcorn, take out or pizza gc and a couple of dvds and the other gc to a restaurant and gc to a movie theater?  Where are you?  Would there be any good shows in town that they might like to go see or a concert?
