Photo help please...

My DS is very pale and has bleach blonde hair so when we use the flash on our camera sometimes it just really fades him out a lot. We have tried not using the flash but with the camera we have the image is blurry without the flash. We are looking at getting a new camera but I just took some pics I love tonight but his face is just so "bright" if that makes sense that his features aren't as crisp. Is there anyway that I can fix this in my existing photos? Thanks for any help!
