Started with a meltdown on my part at 5:30am over how we're going to afford daycare. Sheesh! These hormones are really kicking my butt. Then I had another meltdown because I'm so exhausted and I cannot catch up on my sleep due to a really arduous work week. Now, things have calmed down a bit. My sweetie put together the infant swing and the stroller, made a phone call about checking for proper inspection of the infant car seat and now he's relaxing while I write thank you notes from my last shower. I feel like I have so much to do and so little time/energy to do it. Is this normal for the 3rd trimester? (Thank God we're not doing Christmas this year or I'd really be in bad shape!)

Yikes, no responses. ;-) I must sound like a biotch! I swear I'm not normally this cranky. And I am SO grateful for this baby .... just freaking out at the last minute here.

Don't worry, i am having same issues. hormones are rolling around again and I have had some crying spells hit me out of the blue. I am under a lot of stress from bed rest and I haven't been able to sleep for more than 45 -60 min at a time at night. I also can only "sleep" from midnight til about 6 am. So after a few nights of that, I was completely a mess. Dr said I could take benadryl and even though Ioathe to do so, I took one and was able to sleep in two hour stints and felt much better. Don't underestimate the power of lack of sleep. Today I am all moody again. Having your dh get a lot of baby stuff will be helpful. I had a lot of issues with that because when we planned to pull apart our office and put in a nursery, I got sentenced to complete bed rest so not being able to help really drove me crazy for awhile. Now I am better because the basics are done and I have accepted that it will not be completely ready by the time baby is here. And don't worry, I understand that even though you are venting, you are grateful for every moment (no matter how uncomfortable) that you are pg. me too.
It's just really slow on the boards today... you don't sound b!tchie at all! These are all totally normal feelings for 3rd tri... I think I had the same freak out last week. We've gotten a lot done this week, so I'm feeling better about it all... but it does get daunting! And I know what you mean about having so little time and energy to get stuff done... I'm on modified rest until next Saturday when I will FINALLY be full term, so I can't do much till then - and then I got this horrible cold, so that's made it even worse - I can't even get my writing ("real" work) done b/c I feel so awful.
So just know you are not alone... it sounds like you are in good shape though, and just remind yourself that all you really need before the baby comes is the car seat, a place for the baby to sleep, a few outfits and some blankets. The rest you can do after the fact.
Aww, Marinabride I am so sorry you're going through this! Thanks for the tip on Benadryl. I may just take one tonight. My work week just did me in. I think it's great that your hubby is helping so much. I can only imagine how hard this must be right now and I'm sending positive thoughts your way!

Thank you ladies! I definitely don't feel so alone now. Sueball, I hope you recover from that cold quickly. I had one a few weeks ago and it was miserable! The only thing I took for the congestion was Benadryl and I was useless because it instantly knocks me out!
