Pregnant after a Loss

My hormones are definitely kicking in

We were just watching Forrest Gump. I was fine through the whole movie, until it gets to the end. The part where he's talking to the grave, and out of nowhere, I'm bawling, tears streaming down my cheeks. I NEVER used to get like this. Then I started laughing at how ridiculous I was. DH says I'm a wuss now. I just pointed to my belly.

  • just wait, it only gets worse my friend.
  • Yeah 10 weeks!  Your time is flying! (at least to me it is. Yah, the hormones seem to have come back for me in the 3rd tri. I was reading a baby 1st year manual and they were talking about putting baby on your chest right after birth so they feel that skin contact and I burst into tears.  I have the additional stress of a vasa previa diagnosis so I am completely worried that he won't make it through birth which I am sure helped bring on this crying meltdown but regardless, I am not a crier and now the randomest things make me cry.
  • lol the same thing happened to me with the last lines of Hope Floats.

I'm paraphrasing the end of this but for us on SAL, it's sooo appropriate:  "Mama always said, beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts. You just have to give hope a chance to float up, and it usually will too"

I bawled and bawled. . .love them hormones
