I put the veggies in at the very beginning, potatoes, carrots, and onions. I just put the roast and veggies in with a little water and a packet of onion soup mix.
I dissolve 4 beef boullions in 2 cups of boiling hot water...pour into the pot....I put in several carrots....I cut the real thick ones in half....then I put my meat in and then I put my potatoes on top of the meat....cook on low for 8 hours. or low for 4-6 hours.
I season my meat with onion powder, garlic salt and seasoned pepper.
