My husband and I desperately want the Scandi Dropside Crib that (it seems) only Babies R Us sells:

Unfortunately, it is discontinued and our store doesn't have any. At the store last night, they looked it up in the computer and said they couldn't find any at other stores that they could transfer to us, but I find it unlikely that there is not a single Scandi crib at any BRU anywhere. Does anyone have any tricks for how to get BRU to find a discontinued item for you? Any code words I should use or bribes I can offer them? ;-)
Re: how to find discontinued Babies R Us crib?
I guess I was lucky enough to find out in time but we bought ours in August. I had called the manufacturer at that time and found that you are right, only BRU sells it. I called stores on my own which you might try if there are multiple stores in your area...I hope you get it bc it is a great crib. If not the Baby Miro "Mercer" crib is similar but I think it is a little more expensive. HTH some!!

Yes, I've seen that crib, but it's $100 more and doesn't have a drop side.
I have no problem calling other stores, but I have no idea what to ask them... My local store already supposedly looked up other stores to see if any of them had the crib, and they said no. But I can't help but wonder if I had asked the right question, I would have gotten different information, you know?
