random updates

1. I've been MIA even more recently because DH has been gone for almost 2 weeks. Some family arrived for a visit on Saturday night, but I was alone with both kids for over a week and was focusing on keeping my sanity.

But DH comes home tonight and I'm so excited to see him!

2. Immediately after my family leaves, FIL arrives for almost a week. I'm enjoying having company and extra hands to help with the kids, but FIL hasn't visited us in 4 years, and that was before kids. I'm nervous about how that visit will go.

3. I've been applying for jobs. It scares me. The thought of putting the kids in daycare is really depressing to me, but I feel like I need to have some sort of employment. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll get something in my actual field. I really want to do adjunct teaching at a local college, but have no teaching experience, so I don't think my chances of getting hired are very good. Being an adjunct would allow me to still have a lot of time with the kids, but I'll probably have to get some 8-5 office job because that's where I have actual work experience.

4. DD is curled up with my aunt, and they're both sound asleep and snoring. It's adorable.
