After Hank's swim lessons yesterday afternoon, Otis decided to have TWO throw yourself on the pavement tantrums on the way to the car. I just walked away.
A dad walking with his eight year old daughter asked me, "Terrible twos?"
"Nailed it!" I joked back to him.
It's only slightly embarrassing to leave your nearly two year old yelling on the ground as you ignore his behavior.

I did this in a mall ( not busy) but she would get up and follow us when we would get to far but my mom kept stopping for her so she would lay back down. And yes, the family trying to appease them is super frustrating and it's created some bad habits this summer since my mom is off for the summer and is always around.

I had a hard time with that while we were on our family vacay.

People would be all "Awww poor little thing is crying" and I'd be "she's crying because I put her in time out. Now is NOT the time to try and console her TYVM"

I have left my kid in the aisle of the grocery store a few times. If she refuses to sit in the cart, she has to walk nicely. I am too darn huge to carry her around. 

Melt downs happen, but walking away usually snaps her out of it super quick.

I do the same thing. Or if someone stares I say, "he's 2" like its a code for "he's being a little asshole, sorry."
