i heard it's no safe to use mouthwash while pregnant ? how true is that ? because i been using it obviously not swallowing it so i wouldnt think it would cause my babygirl any harm.. what do yall think ?

That's a new one.  Are people worried about it because of the alcohol content?  I know some people avoid anything with even the smallest amount of alcohol.  If this is the reason, I wouldn't think twice about using it.

I had gingivitis with my first pregnancy, and the dentist recommended Listerine. As long as you aren't actively drinking the mouthwash, you'll be fine. It's good for your teeth, especially since your mouth is so susceptible to gum disease while pregnant!

Well, if it's on the Internet it must be true.

You know that some people have a beer or a glass of wine while pregnant...you should be find having fresh breath.

I know lots of ladies who had severa m/s were told to use mouthwash immediately after throwing up and then waiting to brush for at least 15 minutes.

I haven't heard this either.  If it is the alcohol content, there are alcohol free varieties on the market. FWIW I use mouthwash every day.

Just don't drink your mouthwash.  It's better to use it during pregnancy because you're more likely to have tooth problems when you're pregnant, and prevention is better than having to treat something.

Hahaha. I was about to say the exact same thing! Everything on the internet HAS to be true. Otherwise it wouldn't be allowed on the internet. Obvi.

My grandma didnt want me to have fruit cake or bread pudding with rum sauce when I was pregnant lol. I'm pretty sure she didn't read that on the Internet. Some folks are just overly cautious. She'd freak if I told her I had a half glass of wine occasionally. It's so funny what people will come up with :]
