Reading Resource Recommendations for Twins

Hi ladies,

If you have any book or online resource recommendations that you found to be helpful for breastfeeding twins, sleeping habits/scheduling, or generally raising twins, could you please let me know?

Thanks!

For sleeping, I really loved "healthy sleep habits, happy baby." By Marc Weissbluth, md. There is a twin version, but the original is the best. The twin one is like an add on once you get the basics of the original. I used it with both of my singletons and plan on using the same techniques with my twins when they get a little bigger. They just reached a month old.

So do you recommend both books, or would I be able to get the information I needed from just one of the two?

  • Mothering Multiples for BFing. I wasn't successful with EBFing, which I believe would have been better if I'd found a LC with twin experience. My LC encouraged me to quit...red flag. So, I'd also try to locate a LC before delivery.

Ready or Not, Here we Come is a quick, funny read with some really practical tips.

Healthy Sleep Habits, Healthy Child has some great info on sleep cues and schedule, be we didn't implement any true sleep training.

Happiest Baby on the Block is great for some practical tips, but it's pretty wordy. I'd skim it.
