***2IF Weekly Update***

I told "tryingyetagain" I would take over the 2IF Weekly update but, please, if anyone wants to do it, please feel free to snatch it from me. I stepped up because I like answering the questions and reading the responses and want to see it continue...

So here goes:

Please provide a brief summary of your IF history and current situation.  And welcome to the newbies who have just recently joined the 2IF board.  I hope you will join us here.

QOTW: What is your favorite season?

I'm such a weirdo, I love the snow and cold weather. I think fall and winter clothes are cuter and I feel like my hair and skin look better in the winter (this could all be in my head). It is 80's and 90's where I'm at right now and I am so over the heat of Summer and I'm already day-dreaming about chilly nights and hot cocoa.

My history: DH and I have 1 DS who was conceived after 4 years of MFI. We are wrapping up our 2nd cycle trying for #2. I'm pretty sure it was a bust and I'm waiting for AF to show up any day. On to the next!

Hi Ladies. I'm sorry I've been MIA lately but life has been crazy and I've been trying to take a step back from thinking about TTC #2 all the time.

Update: All of my info is in my siggy for those that don't know me but we are currently in the middle of IVF #4 after finding out we were blessed to be qualified for a totally free clinical trial. I had my ER yesterday and they got 15 eggs. Found out this morning that 8 fertilized with ICSI and now I'm just anxiously awaiting my transfer on Thursday. Trying to stay positive but I feel like its not real.

QOTW: I have always liked the Spring (maybe because I'm a spring baby). I've never liked it to hot or to cold and the Fall usually kills my allergies.

I like the check-ins too!  I hope you keep them going.

Good luck KristyLynn26!  That sounds like great news.

We're on cycle 19 TTC #2.  DS was conceived after 8 cycles with no interventions.  We met with an RE last week and are scheduled to have IUI with Clomid and a trigger shot next cycle if I don't get pregnant this cycle.

QOTW:  I'm in MN so this is a hard question.  My favorite month is July (my birthday, the 4th, boating on the lakes, long long summer evenings, cabin weekends) but I think I would agree with OP that my favorite season is winter.  It's hard because it's dark here by 4:30 in the winter, but I LOVE snow so much.  I like cross country skiing, and sledding, and ice skating, and broomball, and snowshoeing, and skijoring with our dog, and... well the list goes on.

That's a long-winded answer for a fairly simple question!  Sorry.

    TTC #2 since 1/2012

Update:  Half way through the 2ww.  Did our 2nd IUI last Tuesday.  Feeling very hopeful, but trying to prepare myself for doing this again next cycle.

QOTW:  There is something I love about each season.  I love Spring most because it is the season I was born in and is the time of year when there are always lots of baby animals and new flowers.  I love late summer evenings, laying out under the stars in the grass.  I love fall campfires, and the bite of chill in my cheeks.  Winter is probably my least favorite, but I love sledding and hot chocolate.

XP from 3T:  I intro'd here a while back but was never really a very active poster here. Maybe that will change this go round.

    Hey there,

I am Kassie 30 yrs young from Alaska, my DH (25) and I Have been TTC#2 since November 2010, I have anovulatory cycles and unexplained secondary infertility. I am trying to drop some weight to get prescribed Metformin. My DH still needs to do an SA. Right Now we are not actively trying but not protecting as I am focusing on getting healthy at this time. If we are not successful within 6months we will continue on with more testing.

Much love and respect to the ladies of this board.

Fall is my favorite season, t has the best smells and holidays. Christmas is my favorite Holiday though.

Not really up to writing a long history but I've been on this board off and on for almost 2 yrs so those that have been here a while probably know the gist of it.  DD conceived in 2009 with no issues.  TTC#2 since Aug 2010.  6 failed IUIs and 2 cancelled IVF cycles later - still not pregnant. Recently found out I have elevated FSH and probably DOR, making it unlikely that I'll get pregnant without my own eggs.  Decided to get a second opinion from a RE with a private practice (instead of the big clinic I was going to) so we're currently waiting to do CD3 testing with the new Dr, probably early Aug.  We have not completely given up hope because we want to give the new RE an opportunity to review everything and make an educated recommendation; however, I'm mentally preparing myself to accept the idea of being OAD.  Some days it's easier than others.  Yesterday was a bad day.  When I started thinking about not being pregnant again and DD growing up without a sibling, I started crying and could not stop.

QOTW: I LOVE fall!!  Summer is nice but I love when the nights start getting cooler and the leaves start changing.  And like KC1212, I love fall/winter clothes much better.  I love to wear skinny jeans or leggings with boots.  Oct-Dec are my favorite months and they always go by way too quickly!
DD conceived naturally in 2009.  TTC #2 since August 2010.  Praying for guidance as we decide what's next.

When the world says, "Give up,"

Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."

QOTW- I love Summer. I love having off. I hate wearing Summer clothes, though! Somehow wearing a bathing suit doesn't really bother me. I love wearing Fall/Winter clothes. I love the temperature, the smells (apple, pumpkin).

2IF Background- DH and I conceived DS after 1 cycle. We currently surpassed the 1 year mark. So far the d/x is MFI (sperm- good, testosterone- bad). We have an app't with the Fertility Specialist on the 16th. Hopefully we get more answers.

Hi all! I've been on vacation these past few days... trying to get caught up with posts. :)

We've been TTC #2 for 21 months now. No issues with DD; she was conceived in the first cycle trying. I guess my Dx is "unexplained" but had elevated FSH levels back in August of last year (was in the normal range when tested this year). DH and I had our first IUI last week and now I am 9 dpiui. Getting a little freaked out about testing in a few days. :/ I have many reasons to feel optimistic about the IUI but am having a really hard time doing so. I guess time will tell.

I love summer and winter here. Summers are great because I get time off of work and get to stay home with my little one, and I love rainy winter days staying inside and getting cozy with sweats and socks. It doesn't snow here, so I'm sure that would change if we ever had real winters. :)

Hi .. I posted yesterday but I don’t see it here anymore.

I am a newbie, we have just discovered that I have DOR, along with endometriosis.  We have done most if not all the b/w.  I had my Hysterscopy, Doppler U/S and TET last week, and we did b/w for genetic testing yesterday.  They will do the dye thing in my tubes to see if they need to remove them in a couple weeks.  My tubes are damaged from the endo and I also had an ectopic pregnancy in April that was removed surgically. So we are just getting started in this world.  I do have DS that was born in June of 96 from a previous relationship.  I love him to pieces.

I look forward to getting to know you all as much as we can this way.

QOTW: I love summer.  I love the heat, and wearing shorts and flip flops.  It is mostly a dry heat and I would probably feel differently if we had a lot of humidity.  I love days over 85 degrees.

I will get everything entered back into my siggy asap.

I'm a newbie here and we are in the middle of our first IUI cycle. My husband and I had originally planned to stop preventing after I got my Mirena out but found out just before I had it removed that he had testicular cancer. We decided to wait on TTC plans and he froze sperm before starting treatment. Now that he is clear (cancer is gone but he has a surgery coming up because his doctor wants to remove some lymph nodes) we are moving forward with having another child.

QOTW - I love fall. Summer is brutal here (yay south Texas!) but once fall gets going the temperature is perfect and just makes me want to be outside all the time :)

History: TTC #2 for 3 years. DS is almost 4 and has autism, so we decided not to use any fertility treatments. I am in the 2WW right now, but not optimistic.

QOTW: I love Fall. DH and I both have Fall birthdays, but the weather and leaves and fresh apples and kicking off the holiday season just make it my favorite time of year.

    Hi! (Newbie here)

I think Fall is my favorite season.

We've been trying for #2 for 17 cycles. DX with Unexplained secondary IF per my OBGYN- had our first RE appt. on Monday- found a bunch of cysts on both U/S but Dr. doesn't think they are an issue. Waiting for this cycle to end so I can schedule a SHG, and come up with a plan.

I'm new here, just realized this board existed a few weeks ago.  DD is 17 mos old, conceived with no issues.  We've been TTC #2 for 7 cycles.  Went to an RE for the first time yesterday because of a 6-8 day LP.  My OB gave me progesterone last cycle to lengthen it.  RE pretty much said it is useless.  I'm overwhelmed with all the info I received yesterday but thinking we'll do the dye test, SA, & start Femara next cycle.  He suggested IUI if we want but not sure we're ready for that yet.  But I am of AMA so we may try sooner rather than later.

Favorite season--I love summer!  However, not the crazy hot days we've been having lately.

Of course, we're hoping we can get KU this cycle w/o having to start the testing etc.

Almost done with my 2ww.  Started out very optimistic, but starting to feel less so.  I either was off on o, or just didn't respond to the clomid.  As my progesterone levels at 7 dpo were not good.  However, if I was off on o, we did bd the two days after IUI, so there is still a chance.  Trying to decide what we may do next cycle.

FX for you. I got AF a few days ago and to top it off I spent the second night of it positively ILL from cramps.

I was (TMI alert) puking my brains out. To top it off - I was sad it wasn't due to morning sickness but to my stupid period.

I almost forgot what getting your hopes up does and I will have to more careful this time around not to do so. ugh. The mind games.
