Is it wise to move DD from her cosleeper in our room to her crib while she's in the midst of a sleep regression? She's seven and half months and up until about two weeks ago, she was sleeping a good 10 to 12 hours a night, usually waking only once around 4. I didn't mind nursing her then because she'd sleep a good solid 8 hours beforehand. But now, she's learning to sit up, crawl, plus she's teething, so it's every 3 hours, maybe 4 if I'm lucky. I'm wondering if part of the issue is that I'm right next to her, but I'm a little leery of making the switch while she's in the middle of a regression.I was hoping to keep her in our room as long as I was nursing, about a year, but I don't know she'll last that long in there! Thanks for any advice!
Re: XP: Move to crib during sleep regression?
I agree, I have a feeling it'll be harder on me than her. She's so much more mobile now, and the crib gives her more room to flip flop around and get comfy. The ways she ends up sleeping in her crib are pretty hysterical at times, usually laying across the mattress instead of along it. It's just tough with the whole nursing thing because I don't know if she's needing to eat due to a growth spurt or just wanting to comfort nurse. If it's actual hunger, I'm worried putting her in a separate room will make her more stressed, but I can't really tell the difference until after she's been on the boob for 20 minutes (usually she eats in about 5 min).
