Ignore me :)

I feel like I must be missing something obvious, but I am having trouble removing my photo signature from my posts... I went to edit my avatar/signature and deleted everything under "my signature," and I also deleted the actual photo from my images, and I saved these changes weeks ago. Even right now, if I click on my little icon picture and go to edit my signature, the box is totally blank, but my old photo still keeps mystically popping up every time I post! I am so sick of seeing my own stupid smiling face Can you help me?
