Why do [most] men procrastinate soooo badly? I'm 38 wks and 2 days and I've been having some contractions today so I told DH it's probably about time he put the carseat in the car and pack a bag. He seriously acted like it was the biggest deal ever. If we lived 10 mins away it wouldn't be as big of a deal, but we live almost an hour away get it together DH!

my DH is the same way. I ask him twice and then I let him figure it out on his own.

Oh Jesus mine is too. I remember he didn't even take the carseat out of the box until the day before we brought DS home.

This time I have a "honey do" list that's fairly long and he hasn't started one thing. I may strangle him in his sleep.

But then id have to learn how to use a screwdriver and mow the yard.

He keeps telling me he's just so good at procrastinating so why change? Uh because this little man is unpredictable. I'm sure it'll work out either way, but still. :]

As far as baby stuff goes I think it comes back to "it's not really real for them until they're holding baby.

Same here...had a rant post a few days ago "why don't they listen the first time". Although I must say since then he has installed the car seat, took down the shower doors and is one step away from finishing the dresser.  Have no idea what lit the fire under his butt, but I am glad he didn't wait for the contractions.  Tell him to pack or get his catcher's mitt ready.

I haven't even asked dh to get the carseat ready I know he will be putting it in the car after we have her but as long as its their for our ride home ill be happy.

Thank goodness for this pot bc I am about ready to hit my DH with a sack of potatoes in his sleep! There is no urgency to him getting anything ready for the baby. Last night I was having some contractions and baby was really active and I was getting excited. His response why are you in such a rush? Really! It's been almost 39 weeks doubt that's a rush!

i have the same husband...and it's driving me nuts...part of me is wants to do it myself, but then that would just cause an argument.

Mine too! He keeps saying we have plenty of time and then last night I was having quite a few contractions and they are starting to have some pain to them and I think that really made him realize! His butt is in high gear working at the house today haha
