Hi all. My mom will be keeping lo when I return to work. I was wondering what all gear did you send to your relative /person's house keeping little one. should I purchase duplicate items like pack in play, bouncer or not for use at her home tell me your recommendations or what you did or are doing. Thanks

unless you want to lug it over every week, I'd buy whatever you'd need for DD to keep at her house too.  Extra diapers, wipes, burp cloths, maybe some detergent (maybe she'll do baby laundary) clothes, a pack and play, bouncer, swing, music for naps, and toys too.

My mom watched DD at her house when she was a baby. My mom had a crib, changing table, and high chair that had been mine as a baby. I gave her a bouncy seat, exersaucer, walker, toys, books. My mom bought a stroller, carseat base, and later a convertible carseat. We kept bottles, baby food, diapers and wipes at her house and I sent extra clothes every week.

We did this until just recently.

I would say that the play mat things, bouncy seat, pack and play and a changing pad (though not nec. changing table) are all important. As are diapers, wipes, diaper cream, detergent.

She also eventually got a space saver high chair seat (cheaper than a high chair). Hers was 25 dollars from walmart and I like it better than mine, actually.

My mom has tile floors throughout her home, so I also bought one of those foam puzzle play mats and we put a blanket over it for LO to lay on.

She should have her own carseat base installed in her car for your infant seat to fit into.

 I bought all these items myself or my mother did and I paid her back for them. Some of them didn't need to be purchased b/c I got double of the items at baby showers. If you are concerned about cost, I would shop primarily at a consignment shop or walmart for the duplicate items.
