Soon-to-be single mom - custody arrangements?

So my not-so-Dear Husband and I are currently separating and I am faced with trying to figure out how we are gong to handle the co-parenting of our 7 month old.

Anyone else have custody arrangements with LOs this young? What is typical?

I don't trust him to take DS overnight and I would fight tooth & nail if he tried to keep him overnight. There is a safety/care issue as H is battling a drinking problem on top of having sleep issues that make him incapable of waking up & functioning once he does sleep.

I'm just feeling so overwhelmed right now and don't know how to handle this one. I can't fall apart and curl up in the corner like I want to because my son needs me. I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

are you doing a formal or informal arrangement? I would talk to your lawyer and find out what your best options are for now for the safety of your son. I wish I could help more but that's probably the best bet.

I agree with pp about discussing it with your lawyer. Also, make sure you are keeping track of any potentially useful information in a journal or something.
