Poor Kate

It was bad enough knowing that our family was waiting by the phone for updates while I was in labor. I can't imagine what it is like for Kate with all of the "live updates" going on in the news media.

Re: Poor Kate

  • What are your guesses?
I'm thinking Charles will be somewhere in the name.

They usually have like 4 or 5 names so there's a good chance of that!

  • I'm guessing George will be included somewhere.

    Way to go!
  • I told my husband that I thought Alexander would be, too but he was like, "No way, it isn't British enough." BOOM. In his face!

  • I am so glad that I don't have to pick a name for a future king. Names that are perfectly find like Aiden and Skylar....not so good for king.

I am so glad no one really cared what I named DD. No pressure. No country watching me. No worrying how it would sound when Queen in front of it (although, Queen Abigail does have a lovely ring to it....).

Haha well Josephine was already a queen, so I guess we pass the test. I agree, it would be hard to pick a name that so many will judge.

  • All three names (George, Alexander and Louis) are fairly popular in the UK. Especially where we live...

I like the name Alexander. George, eh. Louis, not even kinda. I wonder what they will actually call him at home, with family/friends, etc. Will he be George or will they call him Alex or some other nickname?

  • I think he will be George.

I like all the names, but they're not for our family! LOL.

Louis is pronounced in the French way; Lou-ie. Not the way my parents (from Maryland) would pronounce it: Lew-iss.
    That's what I figured. But I don't like either way. :)

  • I agree. I would use George out of those, or Alex.

  • I was disappointed that he didn't get a few more names. I figured he'd have at least five!
