It's become a unisex, but my first assumption is always boy.

This is the one name that truly seems to be split 50/50 in the number of boys and girls I've known or known of with the name. So I don't associate it with either gender. For that reason, I wouldn't choose it, despite it being a nicesounding name. Gender ambiguous names are NMS
This our top choice for a boy. I cannot stand this trend of giving girls boy's names.
On the social security baby name list Cameron is number 54 for boys and number 553 for girls. So thankfully, it is still considered more of a boy's name.

Tell me about it. My DS is Cameron. Thanks for posting the SSA stats, I think that considering Cameron as unisex is unfair. It's really a boy's name that gets used on girls.
Re: Cameron. Boy or girl

Yep. I assume boy, but I know both a boy and girl Cameron (and it's one of my least liked names...)
Yep. I don't personally know any girls with this name, but do know a few boys.
