Target Bedding

Hi...we are moving soon and doing our 2 1/2 yr old son's room with a sports theme. I've looked all over the Internet and can't find bedding sheets, pillow cases, comforter for anything less than 140.

Today I saw a cute set in Target for less than 80. Anyone have any experience with Target's kids bedding? I'm not sure if the cheaper price equals a cheap product?

Thanks!

Re: Target Bedding

  • We have this one for LO's room- we got the comforter and shams and then got some of their jersey knit sheets in solid blue which are softer then the sheets that match the comforter.

The comforter is fine, is it the best on the market, no.  But does it do the job for a kid who still accidents every once in awhile, yes.

I will say that even on the delicate cycle some the brown from the tree trunks bled onto the green grass.  I don't really care that much, because it just looks like dirt around the tree.  Plus  like I said, this is mainly a comforter that he will have for a couple years, and then we will probably re-do his whole room into something more school aged.

We only have sheets from Target for DD's bed.  Of the three sets, one set is perfect.  One set has some stains on it, which happened before they were packaged.  At first I thought it would have been like someone dropped it in something like motor oil on the ground and then returned them, but when i opened them it definitely seemed like I was the first.  So, I assumed it happened at the factory.  I didn't notice until I took them out of the dryer and it was on the edge of the fitted sheet, so we have that side against the wall.  The other set has some tiny blue dots on it, almost looks like pen marks.  Again, didn't notice until I was pulling them out of the dryer.

Considering they are for my daughter, who's only 2 1/2 and not potty trained yet I'm not concerned about the stains.  I can hide the one and on the other set of sheets the stain is hardly noticeable.

So, I think they are okay quality and will work for a toddler's room.  My suggestion would be before you wash them, look them over.

DS has the target set of cars/trucks and it's held up very well. Great deal on the cost too b/c when i started searching, i too found the prices to be very high for other set. I must say he has the quilt and not the comforter simply b/c i like quilts better so not sure of the comforter material. I say it's worth a shot.
