We just made the final decision for me to be a stay at home mom. I never in a million years thought that was going to be possible. I am so excited and nervous at the same time! It's amazing how much this little boy has changed everything and I love every moment of it. Now, just need him here safe and sound. Anyone else a FTM and going to be a SAHM?

Congrats and have fun at your shower. I'm a FTM and will be staying home fit the first year at least. I'm a teacher and I'm guaranteed a job next year but we'll decide whether I'm going back then. I'm excited but a little nervous to have such little adult interaction.

Happy for you! I am going to try to go back to work in October and if hubby and I agree that it is too stressful, we will consider me being a SAHM.

It's always been my dream/goal to be a SAHM. My H had the same dream for his family. We worked for years to get to a point where we would be financially comfortable enough so we could start trying. Now that we're almost there, my husband is jealous! He is currently trying to transfer to another position in his company so he can work from home!

I will be a SAHM, although I've been a SAHW for 3.5 years already so it's not as big of a transition for me, especially financially.

happy for you!  I wish I could at least work part time.  DH is so sweet and trying to figure it out for me but I don't think it's possible this year. we'll see.

Congratulations! I will be going back ton work in November, but SAH has alwaus been something I've considered. Its just not possible right now.

I do suggest getting in touch with some SAHM groups in your area because you might need adult interaction and support. Good luck!

Have a fun baby shower. I've been a SAHM for over 10 years and never thought this would be me I even home school my little ones you just have to make sure you get your outside time as often as possible before you drive yourself crazy lol good luck ;-)

I wish I could. dh is going to be a part time SAHD. He is going to work part time in the mornings and he will be home every night while I work. I am the one who makes the money and better benefits so it makes sense for us this way. Plus my dh will handle house work an such. I'm jealous of him

FTM here and I will be a SAHM. I feel the same way as you... Nervous, excited, so many different emotions, especially since I've had a full time job at the same place for the last 7 years. But I'm exited to be able to raise our little girl.
