Ear drum pulsing...

Well, I did go swimming this morning but this is not a cloggingswimmers ear feeling. For the past 12 hours I have been having pulsating in my right here. I read that this is a hormonal change. Anyone else have this? I read that time heals this one. It's a small annoyance but obvious and hope it goes away by the AM! Thx in advance!

  • Never had it, but try using a blow dryer on your ears. It might help with the water.

I wouldn't use a blow dryer just put some alcohol and vinager in a baby bottle and squirt some in your ear. It will safely dry it out.

Peroxide will work well for drying it out too.

  • If it sounds like you can hear your pulse in the ear, it is something I experienced all first tri, and it came back about a week into 3rd tri. My doctor told me that it is due to pressure building in your neck and spine, and the extra blood flow. Completely fine, just so annoying. The only thing that I've found to "help" is to have white noise or any kind of noise. It is so annoying in just silence!
The ENT dr did say that it was possible that clogged ducts in your nasal cavity can have an effect on it. So if you've been congested, that could be part of it, too. I hope yours goes away quick and isn't the same thing I've been experiencing!!
