Pregnant on Nuvaring?

This is my 3rd month on Nuvaring. This month I was 3 days late putting my new one in due to pharmacy issues. The website says that I am to use backup methods for 7 days after inserting the new one to give the ring time to work. FI & I did not know this, and we had unprotected sex several times in that time. Per my GYN, that was a "golden ticket" to getting pregnant.I put the new one in on the 9th of this month.I have been having some not so normal symptoms this past week, I just don't know when I should test. Has anyone got pregnant while either using the ring correctly, or inserting it late?

I know nothing about Nuvaring, but I think if there is ANY chance you are pregnant, you should take an HPT, just to be sure (mainly because you are still on BC & that could be potentially harmful to the fetus)

No experience with the nuvaring but here's my advice on taking a pregnancy test: test early and often. Haha. But seriously, just poas until you're supposed to get your period. I got a bfn on a Tuesday and on Friday it was a bfp. I wasn't sure when to expect my period because my cycles weren't totally regular, so like a crazy person I just tested a bunch of times.

I was on the nuva ring for many years. Once or twice out popped out while having sex and we didn't notice until I found it in bed in the morning. Those times never became pregnant. This is a bit different though since it would have been at the end of the cycle.. right? Did you get your AF with that last ring, then not put the new one in on time? Id take a test in a week for sure...

I am pregnant while on nuvaring.  It has been my bc of choice for years and i was doing the extended practice of continual rings and having a period every 3 months. Guilt tells me i missed putting in a new one on time and got caught this time.  There were early signs that something was up, but I wasn't trying to get pregnant, never got "caught" before when I was late a day or two for changing (yes, really, slacker, I know), I didn't take head to the signs.  I almost thought i was infertile after making it to age 37 without a pregnancy! Alas.  Looking forward to your update!

I have never used it.. just wanted to add that my sister and my sister in law both used it and got pregnant while on it and went on the have healthy babies.

Birth control only works if you use it as directed...and even then it doesn't always work. Sounds like you should take a pregnancy test and see what it says.
