hi everyone, I used to post on 3t intermittently, and have been pretty absent from posting for awhile.
I was hoping that some of you on this board could help me. Tuesday night I had a gush of fluid while out of town. I was admitted to the hospital Wednesday and discharged yesterday. I was diagnosed with PROM, and told to terminate my pregnancy because there is no amniotic fluid around the baby. I was 15 1/2 weeks when this happened, and told that the lungs cannot develop without the amniotic fluid. my baby's heart beat is strong and I am not showing any signs of miscarriage. I cannot give up on my baby. the specialists have told me that procedures with glue that were tried in the past resulted in infection and ultimate loss of the pregnancy. I found a couple of success stories in 2001, but nothing recent.
has anyone read something recent that has worked, or able to.provide insight? I cannot justify killing my baby when the hb is strong and im showing no signs of infection or miscarriage. I want to make sure we do everything we can to help our baby fight. thank you!!
