Another GD newbie intro

Hello! I'm a FTM, expecting a boy in October. I was just diagnosed with GD. My 3 hr glucose test numbers were just barely high enough to put me over.

I haven't seen a doctor about it yet, but I met with a nurse yesterday who explained how to check my glucose levels and monitor my diet. I have an ultrasound and consult scheduled for Aug. 5th, so hopefully I'll know more then about how the baby and I are doing. 

I figured I'll be lurking and posting over here since there is a lot of good GD info, so I just wanted to introduce myself.

I'm due 9.21, diagnosed this week at 31 wks. looks like we'll be going thru lots of the same stuff in the near future.

Welcome I was diagnosed at only 16 weeks. I was devastated since my first two pregnancies went beautifully. I learned tons of valuable information and have adjusted to it. I think it's made a positive change in my whole family. Ask away....
