Hello, I am 26w pregnant today : a major milestone since I had a loss at 22w. Now, this is feeling real and I am starting to believe that I will finally be a mommy. We haven't bought anything at all or picked a name either. My dr says my csection will be in 10w, if everything keeps going well. When do you think I should start buying things /diapers? I was thinking maybe around 32w, when it's safer? And what would be the essentials besides diapers and crib? I don't think I will have a shower since my family is being cautious this time
Re: have you already bought things for the baby?
I didn't have a history of losses or high risk pregnancies before my DS. We started buying things/having showers at 25-30 weeks.
This baby, we got some clothes since the sex is different. I just had my DH haul the swing, bouncer, RnP, CoSleeper, etc. out so we could wash the covers and be "ready". I'm having PTL issues and and feeling nest-y, so this is as much as will be getting done for our LO until later.
I haven't personally bought anything or even started my registry yet but I have received things from ppl and my hubby works are a wipe factory and we have 14 boxes of wipes stored and ready. I am planning on buying things are 27wks that would also include planning baby shower. I am on bedrest so not sure how much I could be able to buy from bed but that is my coast is clear week.
I know how scared you are. You and baby have came a long way. I hope you find comfort and just let that fear go and enjoy the remaining of your pregnancy. Turn into a shopaholic mom to be before your 10wks is up....
Best wishes, keep that baby cooking.....
