You just want to be sure that they aren't being prepared on the same surfaces and with the same utensils as the raw sushi since that could contaminate them with the icky things you are supposed to be avoiding.
Baby K is 3 months old! Max: The original fur baby
It seems like there are varied opinions from Drs. I would listen to the risks, see how you personally feel and choose a good,well established sushi place to eat from. I ate all you can eat sushi today, with mostly only cooked fish. It was a really busy place so I wasn't worried about the rice or seaweed having sat out a long time.
I was told that anything cooked is fine as long as you prepare it at home. Anything made at the store or in a restaurant is at risk of being crosscontaminated since it's prepared on the same surface as the raw sushi.

This! Most places no matter how expensive doesn't mean they clean the knife with cooked and uncooked. It's a risk I wouldn't take. If your dying for Japanese opt for a tempura bento box.
So....do Japanese women who are pregnant stop eating sushi?
I've eaten sushi several time during this pregnancy and during my last one as well. As long as you are eating it at a reputable establishment you will be fine.
You can eat raw sushi from a clean, reputable location. FYI. I've done it many many times this pregnancy. Its expensive, but effing awesome.nbsp;California roll is fine. nbsp;
You can eat sushi as long as they don't have raw products in it. I actually found out the other day a couple of selections at Publix with cooked ingredients, just check the labels and enjoy!
California rolls are perfectly safe. I like the sweet potato rolls too. If you have a little sushi it won't kill you even if it is raw. Japanese women eat sushi all through their pregnancies. Just make sure it comes from a clean place and if it makes you sick, don't eat it again. I spent so much time looking up info about sushi because it is my absolute favorite food. I have never found a loss due to sushi and the only thing I have ever found is that if it isn't good, you could get sick : / I am sure people want to listen to their doctors about this and they will tell you know. I am just sharing what I found, because I drove myself crazy not eating sushi, or crab (shellfish), or cold cut meat. Just do what you feel comfortable with and research if it is bothering you : )
