Cory looks right to me, because all the Corys I know spell it this way. According to Behind the Name, Cory is a variant of Corey... I'm usually a fan of the original spellings, but it just looks off to me with the E.
I'm no help. Sorry.
Hahaha it's okay! I know two RL Cory's and they both spelled it without the E as well, so I was surprised to see that Corey is actually the original. Looks like we're in the minority though. ;-)
Thanks to all the answers so far! Looks like DH is winning LOL.
I would agree that Corey seems more like a stand-alone name to me, and Cory seems like a nn. I also have a good friend who goes by Cory (who is female) so I have that association... Corey seems more masculine to me.
...Wow, I was thinking to myself "Ha, that's funny, my H and I were debating Cory vs Corey too!" And then a split second later I realized it's my thread from 8 months ago.
Re: Cory vs. Corey?
My brother is Corey Michael (this spelling)-- so that gets my vote!
The Cory spelling seems incomplete to me
