OPK thoughts?

I am using OPKs 2x/day this cycle. Last cycle I only used them 1x/day. This morning (I posted in the "Waiting to O" thread) I thought I had a + OPK. It was as dark as the line, maybe a TINY bit lighter but it was hard to tell. I figured tonight's would be darker. But it was lighter. By quite a bit.

I've noticed my PM OPKs are always lighter no matter what.

We'll be DTD until O is confirmed but what does a + and a - in the same day mean? Or can it mean nothing?

I am in the exact same position. Pos in the am, neg in the pm then pos the next am. Sorry I can't give you any answers but I can't wait to see what everyone else thinks.

Here's my series... now I'm rethinking this morning's OPK... but I've noticed these Target ones look different once they dry.

This. I find that I get my positives in the morning too, OP. I think by evening urine is likely too diluted for a clear positive. It's quite common for me to have both a positive and a negative in the same day.

When you see a short surge, does that typically mean you O that evening, or not necessarily? It could still be the next day?

I always get + in the afternoon and a neg in the evening. Yesterday my afternoon opk was ALMOST positive, evening was lighter. Today afternoon was clearly positive, evening was negative. That's pretty much how it goes every cycle, so I don't worry about it!

That was from this morning. It looked positive before it dried. Ah well, last month I remember getting a close to positive OPK around this day, and then disappeared and got another one a few days later that was actually positive. Maybe my body ramped up and then gave up again. :P
