Baby Apps

I just downloaded and app on my iPhone so I can make a cute baby announcement with his first pic to txt to all my family and friends while I'm in the hospital. It has several borders to choose from and looks like a shutterfly announcement! You just add baby's weight, length, name and a pic. So easy and super cute!

Oh... And I downloaded a contraction counter. Love technology!

Anyone else have cool baby apps downloaded?

Re: Baby Apps

  • Are you going to tell us what it's called?

  • Very cool! What's the name of the announcement app you got?  I just have a baby web md and a contraction counter so far.

  • I don't have anything fun apps yet, but I'm getting a new phone in a few weeks so I probably will just wait until then.

What are the names of the awesome apps you have?

  • "Sweet greets baby" is the announcement

"Aesop contraction counter". It keeps a log of all the contractions, gives you progress reports (so for example, you can see how long your contractions have been 5 min apart),  Very fool proof so if you are having painful contractions and its hard to focus you just have to press a large start and stop button.

  • I just downloaded Full Term Contraction Timer and Sprout Baby (which keeps track of feedings/L or R boob/diaper changes/naps etc. Both are free.
  • My friends swear by Baby Connect. It's like a feeding, diaper, nap timer thing.

We used an actual physical timer last time, but I'm embracing technology!

    Cute! Thanks for the tip.

My friend recommended iBaby Feed, but I obviously haven't used it yet.  She also recommended any app that has a heartbeat sound.  Any white noise app should have it and she said it made her newborn calm when she couldn't hold her.

  • Thanks for the reminder to get a contraction app-- don't want to have to find one when I actually need it!

A friend of mine swears by the app Total Baby for feeding, diaper, appts, etc. You can track shots, weights, etc throughout multiple years and kiddos and you can sync it with multiple devices (ipad, DH or MIL phone, etc) so whoever feeds or changes LO can note it on their phone and everyone knows.
