I'm a twin, having twins....

I am in complete shock.  I almost don't even know how to introduce myself. :]

Ok, so, I am Jessica. I am an identical twin, and I found out today I am pregnant with fraternal twins. EDD March 16 [just under 6 weeks]... We actually also saw two healthy heartbeats!  

Ive been through IF treatments before that never worked out, and somehow I've been blessed on our own; this time x2!   To say I'm thankful is an understatement.

I am a previous member on TTTC, and more recently my daughters birth board... Both boards have been amazing in the past.  Hope to get to know you all as well.

    BPF 02/19/12, EDD 10/31/12, natural m/c 02/28/12 (4w6d)

    IVF (BCPs starting 10/30/12, ER 11/18/12, 5dt of 1 beautiful, healthy embryo 11/23/12)
    BFP 12/02/12, u/s @ 6w,5d showed 2 HBs! Identical twins!!
    Bed rest from 21w-35w due to short cervix, hospital bed rest from 23w-32w due to PTL
    Our rainbows were born 07/19/13 (36w, 5d)

    Congrats! You will have a unique perspective raising twins. How cool :).

     Were you told they are fraternal because there are two placentas and two sacs (di/di)? 1 in 9 di/di twins are actually identical. It all depends on when the egg splits. So, it's a possibility that you will have IDs.

    Yes, there are two placentas and two sacs. I had no idea there was that possibility of IDs tho... Very cool. Thanks for the welcome.

    This :D congrats!! The MoM board is amazing! As well as the high risk board! Ps. We just found out we have di/di identicals!

    Congrats! My husband is a twin...and now we're having twins! You will be surprised how much having those experiences will help you. Even though he's obviously not the one pregnant, he has helped me tremendously with his past experiences growing up a twin when I have questions. We're due in early Jan with di/di twins...not too far ahead of you! So excited for you!
