I have been wondering that as well. I have three cats total. Two of them are attached to my kids and could careless about me but my cat Sophie has been extra clingy lately. She is normally obsessed with me but it's on a whole new level right now.

I've heard it mentioned but, more as a wives tale superstition type conversation. I do however find it to be pretty true animals are really keen to what's going on around them.
I bet they can! Ox has been SUPER clingy lately. He'll follow me from room to room and wait outside of the bathroom door until I come back out.

"If you're still my small babe or you're all the way grown, my promise to you is you're never alone. You are my angel, my darling, my star...and my love will find you, wherever you are."
My three dogs are doing the same thing. My oldest always lays at my feet and the little ones are always next to me. Even when DH is home they won't leave my side.
I think they know things like that. We have two cats and one has been super clingy the entire pregnancy but the other one has only gotten that way over the last week or so. The dog doesn't seem to be acting any differently though but he's not the brightest. Lol!
Simon has been especially clingy starting about a week ago. Case in point, his Saturday morning nap took place on my shoulder with his face in my ear (snoring) and his front paws gently kneading my neck every so often. I definitely think he knows that something is up!
The new furbaby follows me like he is stuck to my hip. I don't even know how he knows I am in the room in the bed sometimes but he does. I went to take a nap one day and closed the door and when I got up, there he was laying on the floor outside the door. I felt guilty. He is only 4 months old. Wherever I am at, he has to be. My husky on the other hand is too prissy to follow me anywhere so she just hangs out wherever she wants. I also think there is a difference because they are opposite sex.

I wish my cat gave me neck massages! She thinks I need tummy massages instead. No kitty..just no.

The puppy comes IN the bathroom with me. If the door is closed (cracked) he pushes it open and comes to lay next to the toilet.
Haha, my cat does this too. Our bathroom door doesn't latch (waiting on maintenance to fix it) and whenever I'm in the bathroom she always has to come join. The only problem with this is that the door is too far away to shut again.
I wonder that with my two pups sometimes, but they are both so goofy that I am pretty sure that they just think I've been eating too many twinkies or something. And our little westie jumps on my bump like its a step stair!!!
My kitty Picasso has been curling up to my belly at night for the last 3 days. Usually she sleeps on my hubby side of the bed with him.

My kitty, Biscuit, definitely knows something is up. He has been following me around more like PP have said and if he is not with me he is laying in the nursery.
One of my cats, well actually he's dh's cat, never wants anything to do with me really. That is until I became pg. Since then He snuggles with me and wants loving all the time. I'm sure it has something to do with the hormones.
My cat has been super needy and he is usually very independent. He sits and cries at the end of my bed until I get up (a very annoying new habit) and then follows me around all day.

My cat does that to me as well. She also likes to lay her head on my tummy, but then the baby starts kicking her in the head so she moves away :
I definitely think one of my cats knows. She has been obsessed with the bump since the very beginning and anytime I'm on the couch, she is curled up next to it. The past two weeks or so she is super clingy and is always in whatever room I am, sometimes staying like right under my feet! It's funny though because the other cat seems to not care one bit (then again, she is more my husband's cat and lived alone with him in college before I was in the picture....) I really think they know!
Re: I wonder if my cats
I have two and they circle me all day long now.
