Feeling the babies...

I'm 17w4d and I'm still not feeling the babes yet. I didn't feel DD until 20 weeks but after all the "you'll feel your 2nd sooner" and the fact that there are two in there, should I be concerned?

I think I might have felt them once when laying completely flat on my back trying to listen for heartbeats with a doppler, but other then that, nothing.

When did you start feeling them really move?

I'm at 18w4d and don't know if I've felt them move yet.  However, when they are on the ultrasound screen they're moving around so I'm not too worried.  Like you, there are times I think I may feel something move but then I'm not sure.  Knowing that they DO move around, I'm just not feeling it, makes me feel a bit better.  Maybe this is a sign that they'll be "calm, content" babies.  :)

  • I'm in the same boat.  I'll be 18w tomorrow and I think I might have felt them...maybe.  I'm a FTM and not 100% sure of what I'm supposed to feel.

  • I didn't really feel anything until past 20 weeks and this is my third pregnancy. I was worried too because a friend of mine said she could feel her baby moving all around at like 12 weeks I think she's full of it, but whatever.
Im 27 weeks and get nervous when I don't feel them for a while. I keep thinking there's two in there so it should be like a circus!! But my weekly ultrasounds put my mind at ease!

My first pregnancy, but I started feeling flutters around 20 weeks, consistent movement a few weeks later. I am almost 28 weeks and still don't feel baby B all that much, just depends on his position.

  • Thanks ladies. I saw them both last Friday doing great. And I'll see them again next Thursday. I just feel weird when poeple say "feeling them yet?" and I say no.

  • Do you know if you have an anterior or posterior placenta?
