OB recommendation

I live in the Akron area right now, but will be settling in Rocky River at the end of the summer. An hour is a bit much to drive, especially in the winter when I am due! Anyone have any suggestions for an OB on the west side? I have Medicaid for my insurance if that helps! Also, any suggestions on a hospital for delivery? I am not familiar with much on the west side right now.

I love love love Dr. Bacevice in Avon. I don't have a recommendation for a hospital but I know he delivers at Fairview. Good luck!

I have also heard wonderful things about fairview L&D. I'm in the nordoina hills area which is closer to where you are now and love my ob so much but he delivers out of akron gen so that wouldn't help you much. You can ask your pcp or even your current ob to refer you to someone closer to where you're moving.

I delivered at fair view and I loved it! Basevice is good, but I thought he only delivered at EMH? i could be wrong. I use dr. Starck and her midwife susan klien at Avon women's health. This is my second pregnancy through that office and I have nothing but good to say.

I go to Dr. Jhaveri in North Olmsted and I don't have enough good things to say her!  She's wonderful!  She delivers at Fairview Hospital which is a great place to deliver.

i don't know if Fairview takes Medicaid. I know University Hospitals (southwest would be closest to you) takes it.

I go to Dr. Ekman in Lakewood (Cleveland Clinic) and plan to deliver in Fairveiw. I love her! I have a friend who goes to her and has two babies and has had great experiences with her!

Ah! Im sure I am not too late but Dr Lynn Simpson in Westlake is FABULOUS She has delivered 2 (soon to be 3) of my babies, my 3 nephews and numerous family friends babies!! She only delivers out of Fairview Hospital (I wouldn't go anywhere else...love that place!) GOOD LUCK
