So, I had a major issue with mildew a while ago and my wool dryer balls got "infected." I stopped using them while I dealt with the diapers and wipes, but now I'm not sure how to deal with the balls. Can I use bleach or oxyclean free on wool? I need to wash them inside a cotton sock or something, right? Will the bleach/oxyclean get through the sock to disinfect them? I just want to make sure I don't reintroduce the mildew to my stash b/c getting rid of it (and the stains!) has been awful. Any thoughts?
