A nice story

I drive through an iffy neighborhood to drop DS off at daycare. Very poor, fairly high crime rate, very run down.

This morning, in the heat, about three dozen kids were out picking up trash. All had hoodies pulled up over their head. A few had pinned paper to the backs that said "Trayvon".

That makes me cry. Those sweet kids. I hope if anything good can come out of that awful situation, maybe people will try to be a little more kind, and judgy people will think twice before profiling someone based on race or an item of clothing.
