So how do I go about this potty training thing?

DS is starting to tell us when he pees/poops (not regularly, but maybe once a day).  He's also dry after waking up from naps.  Does this mean he's ready to start potty training?  And if he is, how exactly do I do this?  Because he's not telling us before he goes to the bathroom, just after.  Do I put him on the potty every hour or something?  I really should've been more prepared for this....I just didn't expect it so early!

May be not the best answer,but it will be a good start to put him every hr,as you said and show him how to tell you when he wants to go.like I usually sing to me LO so he knows when he wants to go or be change he just said chi-chi-chi that means pee,and uchi-uchi that meants poo for him.just make some song that he can have fun,or give home some clue for him to tell you on his own way.

3 day potty method. I followed word for word and it trained my DD perfectly at 25 months. It only sucked for 2 days. Anyone can do anything for 2 days!
