PGAL check in...

How you all doing? I haven't seen a check in for a while. Getting excited? Nervous? Hows the symptoms and pgal brain?

I'm almost 36 weeks. Baby is having a slow day. Its been a doppler kind of morning. Going every week now to appts. Lots of heartburn and waking up at 2:30 every morning. I hope she starts bopping around soon. Darn pgal brain.

  • I'm doing mostly ok, but I have my days, especially when he's not as active. Those are Doppler days around here. My newest issue is with having extra fluid, it can increase my risk of cord prolapse, which freaks me out.

  • I am ready waiting. I have been having contractions off and on. I wish they would make up their mind because they have a habit of picking up at night and they wake me up from my sleep.

  • Doing ok, I start going weekly now too. My Apt is tomorrow. I'm getting really excited about meeting my little boy. But feel really nervous about changing the the make up of our family. We have been a family of 3 for 10yrs so it going to be a big change or all of us. PGAL brain is always there until I feel him kick but if I haven't felt him kick in a while I do try to eat something so he will kick.

  • I had a great growth ultrasound Sunday so that calmed me quite a bit from a lot of nerves I was having the week prior.  I'm onto weeklies at this point.  Due to this do I/do I not have HBP issue, I'll be induced sometime between 39-40 weeks.  I'm not loving the thought of an induction, but I also feel like once she is out I can relax because I can see her.

  • I fell like I'm doing ok. I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow. So, I'm a little behind most of you ladies. I 'm feeling relatively secure. I really just try not to think of all the little things that could still go wrong.Maybe I'm living in denial but it works for me.

My anxiety however has kicked in recently in regards to my bestie. She and her husband have been TTC for years and finally got their BFP. Even though she has no history of loss I find myself so worried/scared for her.  I'm trying not to say too much cause I don't want to stress her. I know it's my problem not hers, really.  I just don't want her to get hurt after dealing with the pain of IF for so long. I'll feel better once she's out of the first trimester, I'm sure.

  • I'm hanging in there! I haven't felt tons of movement during this PG due to an anterior placenta so that's been a struggle along the way but I seem to be feeling more lately which is a comfort. I've had tons of pressure in the last few days and from the outside it seems like LO is dropping. I'm getting excited for these last few weeks to be over!

  • Doing good over here. Exercise has become very limited due to strong BH. DH and I were wandering around town on foot the other day and I had to stop and rest a lot due to many BH. Luckily they went away after I took a rest.
Had my 35 week Dr appt yesterday and everything looks good will be getting my Group B Strep test done next week, and registering at LD. Appts are once/week now one month left! I'm getting VERY excited to hold my LO.. even had a dream I was breastfeeding her last night. Aww.

  • Sounds like we all are having our good days and bad days with movement. Lots of bh contractions here too but nothing regular. Just wanted to get a pulse check on everyone. I know it gets busy towards the end. Cant wait til we can hold and smooch on our little rainbows. Hang in there ladies.

  • I haven't checked in in forever!

Week 36 here. I have that slight panic that we could be going any day, and I feel like there's so much life and work to get done yet. The usual uncomfortable late pregnancy stuff is going on ... but I'm trying not to complain. My pgal brain is pretty good ... baby is really active and all my tests have come out normal. Now it's just a waiting game.

  • Don't know if i've ever shared on one of these. Most of the pregnancy i've been fine though, but here at the end i'm a nervous wreck. Shared about my growth u/s and a little nervous about LO at this point. Doesn't help reading other's having loss this far along. Probably why i've avoided the board lately.

    Anniversary

  • I'm just now hitting 34 weeks and starting to freak out. We've been worried all week about pre-term labor. They released me from the hospital monday. They were able to slow my contractions to maybe one every hour or two, but they are kicking back up. They aren't regular, but I'm having about 5 an hour. I never had an issue with DS so this is all new to me. After everything we've gone through to have this LO my pgal brain is kicking in and freaking me out. I just want him to be healthy and don't want him to come early and have issues.
Other than all of that happening this week, I've been relatively good.

  • I'm doing ok. After yesterday's L and D scare I'm feeling pretty good today. Seems like standing on my feet for 9 hours a day isn't helping me too much. Baby is definitely moving all over the place all the time so I haven't had any anxiety in that department. Just trying to do everything possible to keep this baby in for as long as I can. Glad to hear everyone else is doing great!

  • So excited to be here at this point!!!! Approaching 35 weeks with a breechling, though hes lookingnpwrfect at almost 6lbs, and is still pretty active. I'm sitting at the chiropractors now to try and get him to turn with Webster technique. Waiting for my moxa stocks in the mail... Really hoping baby boy flips soon. Have been pre authorize for a ECV so that will be our last ditch effort at 37 weeks if he hasn't turned by then. Either way, MFM ideally want him out by 39 weeks, 40 if everything still looks good.

Heading north Friday for our baby moon weekend at an inn on a lake in NH, and then baby shower!!!
Still a ton to do and a ton to get, and time seems to be getting a lot shorter!

Oooooo ...I hope your little guy flips soon. My friend had success at 37 weeks with the Webster technique. And baby showers are always fun. Have a great time on your baby moon.

  • I am doing ok, my shoulder and kidneys have been giving me heck the last little bit. I lost my mucus plug last week and I got checked and I am 1 to 2 cm dilated and 50 effaced. Looking forward to seeing how I've progressed at my next appt next Monday when I will be 38 weeks.

  • 37w4d here.  I can't believe I only have a couple of weeks left.  Little man has always been on the quiet side.  I only get 1-2 periods during the day where I feel good movement.  I've had NST's & u/s and he is all good.  My anterior placenta and his position cause me to not feel a ton of movement.

Feeling good overall.  My only complaint is my hips and this horrible heat!  I cannot wait for fall.  Pregnant or not this heat just plain s*cks.

I am so ready to meet this little man but also feeling a little sad this pregnancy is coming to an end.  This will be my last pregnancy so I am really trying to enjoy these last few weeks with an inside baby.

I'm in the same boat w/ the fluid. It's really nerve racking. I'm driving DH nuts because he's so optimistic (everything will be fine), while I'm the pessimist and worry wort. I'm just nervous. I wish I had a doppler, but I would seriously be checking every day. It seems like with the extra fluid and my anterior placenta, his movements aren't as sharp as they used to be and its freaks me out to no end. I'm so surprised I haven't made my way to the ER to check on him some days. The idea of cord prolapse is driving me bonkers. We live about 45 minutes from the hospital and it freaks me out thinking about what could happen in that 45 minute drive if my water broke.
