Pregnant after IF

I love my OBGYN

Just saying.  Last week I had to go to CHOP and while most people were nice, some were a little too harsh for me.  For example, they were scanning my baby's spine and talking about how they couldn't find 6.  So I am freaking out, not only does she have a major heart problem, but she has a spine problem.  I asked the 2 women who were doing the scan and they said that they can't talk about it and I would find out later.  I lost it and said please just tell me what is wrong with the baby.  The one lady looks at me and said "you know that there is something seriously wrong with this baby, that is why you are at CHOP."  Nice.  She left, the other lady said not to worry, its not a big deal, the problem that they found is something that alot of people live with and do not even know about it.  Today I go to my dr. who said she doesn't even see a problem with the spine, it looks fine and that her face looks fine, and her hands and feet are fine.  And she just makes me feel better.  She is also up to 3lbs 1oz. :)  Little girl is getting stronger.  I can feel her kicking more.  She still needs the surgery, but knowing that everyone is praying for her and pulling for her makes me feel so much better.  I just applied to stay at the Ronald McDonald house in Philly too.  So the plan is in place.

  • Oh that's just terrible, her attitude and what she said. I think I would have burst into tears right there. I've run across people like that and they are the worst!

Glad that your OB is taking care to make you feel less anxious and happy to hear you're feeling confident about your girl's movements and strength.

Thinking of you! Happy that you have your plan in place. Knowing the plan always helps to ease the mind.
