sand fleas? any experience with that?

I took my son to Childrens museum 2 days ago. He had a blast! Before leaving, he played in the sandbox for five minutes. As soon as we got home, I noticed these little red bumps on his arms just above his wrists. No where else on his body. Could it be sand fleas? Another type of bug bite? Looks like mosquito bites. I've applied hydrocortisone cream and even tried calamine lotion. Any tips or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Excuse any typos. Posting from phone and my hands are full right now.

Re: sand fleas? any experience with that?

  • I've had sand fleas.  They look like little bug bites and they are thick.  They burn like he!l.  I was told to take benadryl and put hydrocortizone cream on them.  I don't know if you could get them from a sand table though.  Who knows, but it took a few days to clear up and then I was fine.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
