do you change cover everytime?

I'm new/transitioning to cloth. We are still working out the kinks but I feel good about my origami fold I was wondering if you are using flats and prefolds when you change a wet diaper do you use the same cover or do you throw it in with the dirty diapers and get a new cover? I have Thirsties and Bummis if that matters

I wipe the cover and let dry in between changes if it was just a wet diaper. Wash if it got dirty with the diaper. Five covers worked great for us washing every other day. Covers are pretty easy to wash by hand and dry fast too.

I usually rotate between two covers through the day to allow one to air dry between changes.
