Startle reflex

When did this go away for your lo? Was it after they rolled or before? Ds stared rolling back to tummy a few days ago so no more swaddle. He goes 10 minutes before wacking himself in the face. I have tried both arms out, 1 arm out etc. usually I know he needs sleep so I fully swaddle and strap in the rnp where I know he can't roll. When will he stop startling himself? Or will he learn not to be bothered by it?

At 3 months I stopped swaddling...a few days later her started calmed down. She also became a side sleeper then too.

i think it went away at around 3 months 3 weeks around the time he started rolling.  we tried the one arm out for a few nights and he didn't like it.  he kept struggling to get the arm out.  so then we just did no swaddle one night and it worked out great.  he usually rolls to his side now and sleeps on his side.
