I have a huge freezer stash that has high lipase and my 5m old refuses to drink my frozen milk. I have tried mixing 3oz formula with 3oz of breast milk but he still refuses. Is there anything I can add to help mask the soapy taste? I've been trying to research other sites but am not really coming up with anything.
We have weaned and I have completely dried up and don't want to waste all this milk I worked so hard to make for him. I would rather not donate as I want him to have my milk.
Please help. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Re: Help! Lipase And Bad Tasting Breast Milk
Or try adding a little bit to some food, then more and more? I'm sorry... I was so sad when I found this out.

PP kellymom has some good info on it. Mine had a very soapy smell but not taste the first few weeks (I tasted it and it was normal, somewhat sweet tasting). I supplement now due to low supply, but I find that the smell is slightly soapy, not as strong as in the first few months when I EBF. I mix with formula, so DS3 drinks it with no problems.
If sour or rancid smelling, then kellymom has instructions on how to try to fix that as well. I guess you just smell or taste a bit if you suspect it falls in this area.
I read online of a mom who added 1 ounce of white grape juice to each bottle to help mask the taste. I would probably ask your pedi about adding any of these things, though.
Let me know if you do find anything that works. I have about 600 ounces sitting in my freezer that my girls won't drink! I'd love to find some way to use it, but I'm guessing that I'll end up having to donate it.
