Places for preschooler birthday party?

Hi, my son's b-day is about 6 weeks away and I need to pick a place to celebrate it ASAP. Who has good rec's? There's a Catch Air nearby. I've never been to Monkey Joes so I don't know. And no Chuck E Cheese, that place drives me insane. In an ideal world I would like both adults and kids to have fun but not sure that's even possible. Usually when I go to kid's parties at play places, the parents looks miserable, lol.

Any other ideas besides having it at home? I don't want to deal with cleanup!

TIA!

  • If I end up having it at home, I might rent a bouncy house and a person who can entertain the kids with games and balloon animals. I have no idea where to look for that. Any ideas about anything are welcome, thanks! Smile

  • Personally I like Catch Air parties because it wears out my kid. Sensations Therafun is another cool option.  It's a lot of work to do it at your own house, but since it is summer you could do a water party, fill your backyard with sprinklers, baby toys, etc. and serve things like watermellon and popsicles.  That would be pretty easy, wear the kids out, and everyone would have fun (esp if you provided cocktails for the adults).

  • We had my DD's birthday party at The Little Gym and the kids had a blast! They did everything, all we had to do was bring the food!

  • Jump Start Gym does a good job at parties too.

  • We had Ava's 4th birthday at Catch Air and it was great! I refuse to do parties at my house. It's just too much work. I highly recommend a party at Catch Air.

  • I think with my low budget for this I'm just going to do it at Chick Fil A. They give you balloons, souvenirs, reserve the tables for you and all you have to do is bring the cake and pay for food, which is about $5pp. That way the adults can sit inside with the AC and the kids can go to the play area and go crazy. My 4 yr old loves it there anyway.

Thanks for the rec's though, some great ideas on there! Wink
