When should I expect my period on Lupron?

Yeah, I know...another Lupron question from me, and I only started injections on Friday!

The nurse had told me to call when I got my period, but didn't tell me how long that might be and I hate not knowing when to expect my period because I don't need any surprises.

About how long were you girls on Lupron before you got your periods? I was on CD20 when I started, so should I just expect it around when it was normally due?

Are you on BCP as well? Mine came three days after stopping the BCPs - approximately. I would guess that if you aren't on BCP with the Lupron, that your period will start around its normal time. Some women on Lupron don't get a period at all, and essentially it's no big deal if you don't, because apparently periods on lupron aren't "real" periods anyway...they are just a light withdrawal bleed. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the responses! I am not on BCP, so I guess I will just prepare for my period to come sometime next weekend, which would be my normal time!

They also told me that I continue taking the Lupron, throughout my period and even while I take my Follistim. Is that correct or did I hear them wrong?

Well that's a bummer. One shot per day seems to be enough for me...two shots will not be fun!

I was told to stay on Lupron while stimming.  I am on 10units a day now and will go down to 5 units when on Gonal-F.  I'll be doing the Gonal-F in the am and the evening.  Pretty soon I'll have to shoot up between my toes ; )

Right now I rotate left side of stomach, right side of stomach, left leg, right leg....

They didn't even give me legs as an option, so it's just my stomach. It has not been bad at all, but I've only had 4 shots so far, so I fully expect it to be worse, especially when I have to do it multiple times a day. They have me doing the Lupron between 6-8am (not sure why they're so specific) and then I will do Follistim in the evenings. Bleh

I got mine 4 days late.  Just started today.  I started Lupron on CD 21.

I was a weirdo and after stopping bcp, and still on lupron I didn't get period when they thought I would. I got it day 6 of stims and had it for 3 days. I ended with a good lining, and everything was fine, but it freaked me out.Good luck
